Dr. Harman spent several years as a hospital resident and staff fellow at the University of Iowa's Hospital and Clinics with the Cleft Palate Clinic, the Temporomandibular Dysfunction Clinic, hospital dental and medical clinics. During this time she was awarded a research grant by the American Association of Orthodontics to continue her TMJ study. She has published several relevant scientific articles and is a member of many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, Kansas Dental Association and Fifth District Dental Society. In 2010 Dr. Harman was nominated for the Heart of American Ethics in Business award.
Dr. Harman maintains orthodontic private practice in the greater Kansas City area with offices in Overland Park and Olathe, Kansas. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, her lake getaway, boating, maintaining physical fitness training, culinary adventures, and her 2 Italian Greyhounds, Guido and Dolce.
